Used a horsepower calculator today.

I put in my cars weight (3400 lbs.), 1/4 mile time (16.0555), and this calculator program said I have about 163 hp at the front wheels and about 211 hp at the flywheel. Does this sound accurate or not? I have a '96 N/A Automagic with 93000 miles on it. Does this sound good, bad, or what. I realize it's only an estimate. Gotta find a real dyno!!!

Your car weighs around 3000 pounds, not 3400. That's definatally off. With your CAI and Exhaust, you should have more like 205HP @ 3000 pounds.

3400 ?? What weeeeeeeeeeeere you thinkin' ?!

I don't have any timeslips or anything, but that seems pretty high to me considering the mods you got. I think the CAI may add maybe 8 hp and the muffler alone anywhere from 3hp-5hp. That's a total of 11-13hp more than the 190hp stock. That adds up to around 211hp, but with the car having so many miles I would guess you'd lose a bit of horsepower. I dunno....I'm just guessing really. I'm sure somebody on the forum may have a somewhat similar setup that's dynoed before that would be able to tell you what they exactly got. I've never dynoed so I'm not sure what to expect.

I weighed it at a steel mill close to where I live. Am I driving an obese Maxima?

I weighed mine on a weigh bridge at a fertiliser place and it came in at 1370kg with a full tank and nobody in it.

that converts to

kg > lb
1370 * 2.205 = 3020.85lb

I'm gonna weigh again.

Next time I get really low on gas I'm gonna run by there and weigh it again. Hopefully something was messed up! I DON'T WANT A TUBBY MAX!!!
