just lost a race, but so damn proud of it.

I ran a Boxster S manual, a guy in his 40s was driving it. I got the jump on him at the beginning so I was leading by half a car from 0 to 20km/h then when we got up to like 40 he was like 2 cars ahead of me but he had to shift, so I got a few feet back and then he just pulled away really hard, like 5+ cars by 90km/h. That was so cool, fastest car I ever ran/see WOTing in action. At least he didn't lose me completely

I'm surprised he raced you. 99% of people who own those real sports cars know they are fast and don't have to prove it. It's kinda cool I never see Vettes ever street racing. Makes me feel like "Well damn...well the maxima is a sports car too so I don't havta prove anything either !!!"

yeah I was suprised too, he was behind me turning left, as soon I turned, I saw him on the other lane and acclerating pretty hard trying to past me. I think I ****ed that guy off by not running a yellow light, he would have ran the light if I did. but I'm a save driver. Then the perfect time came, another redlight, this time side by side, he looked **** and didn't rev teh engine or anything so I didn't. Light was getting ready to turn green and I brake torqued to 2000rpm, I heard him clutch slip it @ some pretty high RPM, but that guy was slow, I was gone by the time he started really acclerating.

Nice. You know, that's the ONE thing I like about automagics. If I ever converted to a 5spd, I would be nervous and novice off the line. I wouldn't time it right and end up stalling. I LOVE the fact that even with a shaky foot, the auto takes car of me. Now, if only we automagics had some superior 6-speed auto tiptronic that we could turn on/off to redline, that would be sa-weet and we would tie 5spd max's.

Here we go again, huh deezo.

Costco, you'd have to be a pro to beat me, a 95 SE, off the line!

I'm just happy/fortunate to own a Maxima PERIOD.

The 95 is definitely fast but I think the 5th gen 5spd has more pull at highway speeds...especially 4th gear.

Wait till you drive the new 3.5L manual? Whoa now that is torque!
