After reading so many magazines, the Maxima's performance seems to be very unstable. For instance, some had gotten 7.0sec for 0-60, but some got 8sec or slower! I know altitude and climate effects the performance, but what is the performance of this car??


Like for instance, the new Maxima is lighter than and has similar hp to the TL-S, but it had not yet managed to get under 7 seconds, according to Consumer Guide. While a BMW 530i automatic with climate package had 6.8second (225hp / 3600lb). The Maxima's performance seems very unconsistent. The BMW 325 auto had gotten 7.0second. Even the new Rav 4 had gotten 7.5second very consistently.


We all know that our 2000 Max could easily do 7.0second from an automatic, Plus Canadian Maximas have LSD. But why couuldn't the magazines squeeze out better times?


Now I would like to know what is the time of a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE automatic with LSD.

 

It was tested at 7.8 seconds.

 

auto max slower than a rav 4????

 

There are NO exact times with cars....only estimates....you can't represent all cars of a certain model by simply testing one....
