Help! My front suspension is making weird noises (DBM and/or anybody)

Yeah! Everytime I apply the brakes from slowing down the front suspension makes a creaking sound. No, it's not the brakes. It might be my springs because I don't think it was installed properly by some guys at a speed shop. It sounds like something is breaking, kinda like a "crrrrkkkkkkkk" sound. Any suggestions or ideas what this may be? What should I do to get rid of it?

who did your suspension?

more than likely the problem both of you are having is as follows:

if you are getting a continous clank while driving straight?
the screw in the middle of the strut is loose..

if you are getting it while turning or backing up.. the strut housing is not lined up correctly..

ensure that the part on the strut writen OUT is facing the outside of the vehicle.. in other words.. it should line up with the part that bolts on to the car..

if you did it yourself.. you will have to pull the suspension down and re-align the car..

if a shop did it.. have them check to see if this is the problem..

Most likely, the springs are not aligned properly. I live in San Leandro,CA and the shop that did my suspension is at Industrial City,CA. I've actually had the Eibachs for almost 2 years now. That would take me at least 8 hours to get there. I'll probably just take it to a local shop and have them fix it.

I just posted the same question. I have to have my front right suspensiont redone and I had the same problem creaking sound only when backup up and turing or hitting the brakes and the car dives, or when gassing and the nose goes up. I will have them check out the alignment of the struing and the spring.

It maybe something easy.
I just put on a FSTB a couple months ago. After the install a noticed a creaking sound from the front end, especially when front end would dive down under braking or lifting up under acceleration. I thought it must be something in the suspension. But I never noticed it b4 I put on the FSTB. So I took it off, and no more creaking. Turns out the FSTB was rubbing on some of the emission hoses. So I bent them out of the way a bit, re-installed the FSTB and all is well so far. Maybe this helps
