I found a junkyard that has a SE tip. You know the one with the wrap. Anyways, How do I take it off. I want to put it on my GLE. I remove the 10mm bolt butit still doesn't come off. What am I missing...? thanks

 

It's a press fit. So you have to tap it off...tap..tap..tap.

 

you didn't get a chrome tip with the GLE? you should have....

 

it doesnt come with GLE because the SE tip looked aftermarket.

GLEs and SEs get the chrome tips. Only GXE doesn't.

my 2000 GLE didn't come with one stock. I think they come with the newer 2002 GLE now.

 

My 99 GLE came with chromed exhaust tip, maybe only in Canada?

 

Right! That's why I bought a SE tip.

 

Weird. Even the brocheur said that SE and GLE get chrome tips in both 4th Gen and 5th Gens here in Canada.

 

Could you get one of those regular aftermarket tips from like pep boys or soemthing like that?? whats the size of the SE tip?

I think areX got some nice tips for the exhaust pretty cheap from pep-boys... He posted a thread with pics and stuff just recently. It kind of looks like the HKS exhaust with the two dual tip pipes.... it looks good

 

Yeah I like those, if I get those tips my wrap may be for sale.

GLEs should have come with the chrome wrap, mine did.
