B-pipe question

I have a Stillen muffler and I want it louder, however I don't want to pay 200 dollars for a B pipe with a name on it. Could I just go to a muffler shop and ask them to make me one? All I really care about is it being louder, the HP gain is minimal anyways.

Yeah but doesn't the courtesy B pipe have a resonator in it?

just get a generic one made from the muffler shop. no resonator, just a straight pipe.

it isnt really that big of a resonator on the courtesy nissan pipe. its about 1.5 inches bigger than the width of the pipe which is about 2.5 inches. plus its pretty cheap
BUT, if you do get the cn b pipe, you will have to get another connector piece from the end of the b pipe to the cat. its not just long enough. i had to get a little extension piece mig welded to make it fit.

Anyone know around how much it would cost me for the muffler shop to do it? What about the courtesy B pipe?

It's like 6 bolts, it doesnt take alot of skill to unblot and bolt it, just just some WD-40before, and some anti sez, after (for what ever reason you may have to take it off. thats it!

if you want to be louder get a y-pipe. im not sure if just getting a b-pipe will give you more noise, your still gonna have the most restricting part of your exhaust.

I needed it... I custom welded a piece there instead of that restricting cast iron piece for CN...
