I'm selling an actual gauge cluster from a 96 SE for $100. This way you won't have any problems with sticking needles, etc. It has 56k miles on it and will fit any 95-97 maxima.

The gauge swap is a piece of cake; it takes all of about 1/2 hour. Just avoid the '98-'99's gauges for your '95 because they have an LED odometer that will not work properly with the earier style.

You don't but you can put your old cluster back in when you sell the car

I've heard it's a little tricky. You have to remove the odometer from your cluster and instert into the new cluster. IIRC, you have to remove the speedometer needle to do this. The tricky part is getting the needle back on and zeroed. Check the yellow pages, there may be a shop that specialized in speedometer repairs.

There's nothing illegal about re-using your original odometer.
