Did Search But Want Opinions On Venom Nos

Anybody put one of these systems on their max yet? I read everything I got from my search but it seems that people favor NOS' set up. The Venom kit looks nice - computer programmable, nice led display that looks like it would eliminate the need for additional gauges??? I don't know much about NOSing but am considering it. The NOS system looks as if you would need to add to it to get the Venom set up. Is this true? What are peoples opinion of Venom. I would prob. only want a 50 - 65 shot. Aside from that - I haven't done any $$$$$ comparisons. Are they similarly priced w/ the same functions/features??? Thanks.

I haven't heard of anyone using the Venom kit on a Maxima yet. The vast majority of us are using the NOS kit. Why? It's simple, proven, and it works reliably ALL the time. Cost difference? Well with the NOS kit, you can run a 50 shot for about $4-500, a 65+ for about $7-900, depending on your resources and who ya know (discounts). The venom kit, last I heard, was going for well over $1000+. If you want a computer controlled NOS system and you have a 95-96 Max, I would look into the JWT NOS kit, otherwise I would go with the NOS kit. Too many Venom products Ive heard of are junk, ie the computer upgrade for the Max... Just my $.02 Good luck.

I think the Jim Wolf ECU/NOS Upgrade is similarly priced. For the money, I'd go with the Jim Wolf. It's built specifically for the maxima, and you get an ECU upgrade that will help even if your not running the NOS. Check it out at www.cattman.com.

Thanks for the quick responses. I will check into the JWT set up. One last thing, if you don't mind - roughly how much is it to refill a 10 lb bottle? Thanks again.

Depends on where you are. My local shop charges $3 a lb. = $30, other places charge more, some less. Good luck.
