Got two coils on my bench - which one is good?
When I got a general misfire on my 5th gen, I ordered a front and rear coil. I knew one of them would have to be replaced. I drove the car until it misfired enough to throw a specific cylinder code, and replaced it.
Like an idiot, I put the old coil back in the box. I now have two boxes on my work bench - one is good and one is bad.
The car got totalled and I bought a 6th gen. I want to sell the coil.....but don't know which one is good!
The front one has a gray dot on it.....rear does not. Am I safe to assume the front is the new one?
I THINK it was cylinder four that misfired.....is that a front or rear?
