Instrument Cluster! Need help or opinion!

Well, I decided to maybe mod my gauges with some Intelliglow needle leds, carbon fiber faces, polarg bulbs and paradox chrome rings. The cluster itself wasn't too much trouble to get out, the rings went on fine as so did the bulbs.

Next step was going to be applying the faces and the leds. Of course the instructions were very vague, both just simply asking to pop out the needles. Was very cautious, searched the web and both the big org and this one, wasn't able to find any help in removing the needles, which don't seem to want to pop out as the instructions say. Well after a little pulling, I decided to go against it, fearing I'll screw the needles or calibration up. Put everything back together and dropped the cluster back into my car.

And well whaddya know? The tachometer is reading 1,000 rpms fast and I don't think my MPH reading is accurate at all. I messed them up. Can anyone help? Or am I just going to have to get a new cluster?

Okay I think I solved it, but does anyone know how to pop the needles out? I'm sure someone has to have had done intelliglow or switched the faces of their gauges!

As far as I know, phenryiv1 (a mod of this forum) knows exactly what you should do. He may respond in this thread but PM him if he doesn't.

Take off the needle resting peg, mark where the needle falls, rotate the needle counter clockwise and pull up. Re install the needle at your original mark.

When I replaced my speedo I kept the peg and cover off so I could match the speed to the tach. If it was reading fast just move the needle a bit counter clockwise from here its rests.

5 speeds are simple 2,000 rpms in 2nd = 20 mph 2,000 rpms in 4th = 40 mph, This may not work for you.
