How to get rid of scratches?
How to get rid of scratches?
My car is not even two months old and some knucklehead pushed a cart at my car in a Walmart parking lot which resulted in a scratch. Can any of you suggest a remedy that will get rid of the scratch?
Thanks much.

Did any of you use the Quixx High Performance Scratch Remover ( www.quixx-usa.com ) ?

Deep scratch repair
Try the Duplicolor scratch fixer. I've found this ball point pen of auto paint real easy to repair deep, through the paint, scratches.

It seems none of you guys have used the Quixx High Performance Scratch Remover. Here are some articles about it if anyone is interested:

Basically it is a new product developed in Germany and launched in US last April. ConsumerReports.org has the best reviews about it when compared with six other popular scratch removers.
I am not sure how deep my scratch is but it can be felt by the finger and its more than a hairline scratch. I feel I might need a scratch remover that can work on medium to deep scratches. After reading the reviews, it seemed the QUIXX was the best option. I ordered it from ebay today. Hope to receive it by this week.

Damn, I just noticed some shopping cart scratches on the corner of my rear bumper now. Someone problably brought their cart too close while coming around my car trying to get to their car. Man people can be such idiots.
I know. I am thinking of putting up a sticker or something like that on the inside of all the four windows whenever I park, saying -- "Keep a safe distance from this car. It is electrified!"
But I don't know if that is legal.
I tried Quixx once again but nothing changed. It seems Quixx does not work on the 2007 Maxima at least. So now I have to look for something else.
My next step would be to visit the dealer's bodyshop and get some advice on how much they would charge to get it fixed and also, whether they would recommend any product for doing it myself. Lets see... will keep posting.
