It would seem that if I bought clear lenses and then painted it red, light would not shine very well through them. If it does, how does it look compared to the one on the trunk?

 

i had my tails painted by David Lau and they are almost identical to the stock lenses. Use the clear bulbs that the factory uses and they will look fine. I uses Hyper Red 1157 for both the side tails and trunk tails. 194 for the side markers. The whole rear end has a deep red glow at night. If you want i can e-mail you a pic of my tails to show ya!

ny96maxse: Hey, email me a pic of your tail lights. You have a pic of them at night? I sent my clears to David to get them painted. However, I am not sure whether to use back the factory clear bulbs or continue to use the red bulbs that I already have.
