2006 Nissan Sentra SE-R spec V Q

I'm finally able to post threads here lol. So here is my 06' Sentra that I put a 6th generation VQ35de motor in.

Other mods that were installed while I did the motor are:

Intake, headers, Y-Pipe with flex section, exhaust, clutch, flyhweel, custom solid front and rear mounts, and a fuel pump.

Also got my tranny warranteed right before the swap.

moderators, not sure if i did this correctly, sorry if i screwed up.

Nope, you did it correctly. Didn't take long for that to happen huh? It looks great. Do you have any dyno numbers?

Also interested.

It looks like you have the VTCs hooked up. I'd be very impressed to see them working . Did you do everything yourself?

Well, only one person has been known to do this swap, travis burelle. he lives in New Orleans. So I didnt do this myself. Everything works like stock, except I couldnt retain cruise control. in this hot florida weather, i should be pushing around 260 whp. i went to the track but it was the first time i had ever been, on street tires, and on a 95 degree day. my best time was a 14.6 because i just spun first through the beginning of fourth gear. Travis raced this car and made a 12.9 with just intake and exhaust. I'm fully builted so once i have the money to afford slicks, i should be seeing around a 12.4 at 112 or so. If I don't constantly get on it, I see around 26 mph city. Which is nice. Not too many swap allow you to keep everything like a/c and ****, so I got lucky. The car is awesome to drive. No flaws at all, I'll make a vid sometime and post it. It sounds so sexy lol.

he was referring to the fact that there is no intake attached to the throttle body. he didn't say anything about the manifold.

Why were you not able to retain cruise control? I, too, am curious to see what kind of electronics you are running (i.e. ECU), whether or not the VTC's work, etc. etc.

yes the VTC works. im not familiar with the ecu but ill let you know what it is. the revlimiter is at 6700, and the butterfly valves open up at around 6k. the wiring harness is the reason there has only been one person thats been able to complete the swap. its ridiculous. its the craziest wiring harness i've ever seen, and i guess cruise control is just the one and only thing travis hasnt been able to figure out. but imo, its kind of worth the loss. all motor running 12's in my stock looking little sentra...

I'd say if you hook it up to an OBDII type logger, 6700 is not likely. I'd bet the tach is off. Also, butterfly is not opening at the right RPM. It's supposed to 'activate' from 1800-3600.

DIAAAANMN!!!!! I cant imagine the feeling of turning heads when you blow passed someone in that sleeper. Looks good man. I'm considering a VQ35 swap myself seeing as to how I cant find a supercharger anymore. I just gotta do a lil more research to see if its worth it, I want something close to OEM.

everything works like its supposed to, so i could be mistaking with the 6k vtc. but the car roars about 10 times louder starting at 6k. on my stock spec v motor, the valves opened up at 5250 and it started roaring, so i figured thats what i was hearing with the new motor.

You mean the butterfly, not the VTC.

The QR is a true dual runner VIAS, vs the FWDVQ35 'trickery' IM.
