Control arms, Sway bar links, Tie-rod end links

I found this sick deal on E-BAY (Sorry, don't have the link anymore). I picked up 2 Control Arm (right and Left), 2ball joint (already pressed into controll arms), 2 Sway bar links, 2 Tie-Rods, and 2 tie rod end links, all the bushings and bolts. $180 in total. Including shipping.

I recieved the parts about 3 days ago. Today, I started to change things out.

Let me start here. I need struts... Both fronts are blown. I took the car in for an alignment about 3 weeks ago. Nissan has informed me that I need ball joints, Control arms, swaybar links. Therefore the purchase from ebay.

I started to do the work on the car and realized that I should take pictures and do a write up for MAXIMA.ORG members. I figured I would because I have searched and searched for the install of these items. To no luck, I decided to just pick up the service manual from "HAYNES" and AutoZone (get in the zone). These dinks here in Worcester at autozone have no clue about Nissans. They all push some Mustang Prelude Truck Audi thingies.... LOL By the way, I love Audi's....

So People... Keep an Eye out on this thread for the complete write up and photos of work. I think it will be interesting to see how well a dumb-*** like MIKE (me) will do on such an informative process.

how is that ebay package? I saw it but I don't know if I would go for it. The LCA didn't look the same and what about the quality. Does anyone have experience with it? How is the quality? It is definitely a big savings.

So I pulled the Infiniti into the garage on Sunday. Man oh man. What I saw when it was in the air was not pretty. First off, I saw that my swaybar links were broke in half. I guess that is wht my car leans to left when I turn right. LOL... The next thing I noticed was how bad the bushings on the control arm were, for instance, there is a metal washer type peice that is grinding into the control arm. I said it, "Grinding into the control arm."

Then I looked around some more and seen my Tie-Rod ends had NO Bushings. HUH? NO BUSHING on the Tie-Rod ends. Weird... The tie-rods look to be in good shape. No need to change them yet. Maybe I will. Or not. Don't know yet.

As most of us already know, my Struts are SHOT to Shi-oaght. Tokico Illumionas are on order. $660. Damn... Should have ordered from ebay.

Anyways...

I am having someone come threw and change out everything. I feel that I could do it. I just don't want to spend the money on tools that I don't have. Rather get the Cefiro headlamps, VIP Grill, M3 Maxima Mirrors, and the Cefiro rear window wing. I do have the service manual and I will take some pictures while a fellow org member is doing the work.
