Tight gears

Just wanted to find out how to go about adding gear oil into my gears.Lately i have been fighting with my gear friends, especialy the one that lives behind me called reverse. Can anyone tell me where gear oil is added and how to go about it.Do you have to leak out the "old oil" first or what.?Really appreciate the help, pictures would be good.

Could be a weak pressure plate........

But to add gear oil, I believe there is pictures in the fsm (vq35de.com), but if I were you and didn't know to much about cars I'd just take the 40 minute drive to miami and pay nismology to do it.

Just take it to a tranny shop and have them drain/refill it. It may not be your shifting problem though.

The major sources of shifting problems are: worn shifter bushing, bad clutch/clutch hydraulics, loose shifter rod/assembly. I suggest you have the tranny oil changed because it's important, and have the tranny shop inspect the whole tranny and shifter. They should be able to find the problem.
