What tool to use to remove EGR solenoid valve?

If anyone could help me with this it would be really appreciated. I'm throwing a 1005 code and I already brought the EGR Solenoid valve, but I'm really having trouble removing the screw on the bottom. Could someone that has removed this damn thing tell me what tool to use. Neither my wrenches nor my ratchets seem to fit. I need to get this thing replaced since my inspection is due this weekend.

Thanks, any help or advice would be appreciated.

I have had good success with a flex head GearWrench. It is a 10mm size.

Flex the wrench to 90 degrees to reach up under the valve to the 10mm nut. Use a crescent wrench to turn the GearWrench, since at 90 degrees you will otherwise have no leverage at all. You have to think a little bit before you start to make certain you are turning the nut the correct way, since it is upside down. Hard to explain, hope you get the idea.

You can do the same thing cheaper if you can find a 10mm crow's foot wrench. It's essentially a wrench head with a slot that fits a ratchet extension. You can then use a ratchet from above to turn it. I found one at Sears for a few bucks, and it worked great. And you do have to think about which way you're turning...

Thanks guys for the help. I actually brought a crowfoot and it worked great. Though it was a little hard to position at first since my engine was still hot and I was changing it in the dark at 9pm.

Sorry to bring this back up from the dead but Ive got the same code and neither Nissan or Infiniti know what the part is. I cant even find the PN in the FSM. If someone has this handy that would be a big help. Ive got the same code.

I checked the EGR and it moves when I push the throttle, and the car dies when I push it in. But there seems to be a gurgling sound from the EGR-BPT and I cant seem to find if a bad solenoid would cause this kind of problem from the BPT or if its something else entirely. I would really like to try and figure it out before I go and rip my intake and coolent hoses off to replace a part thats not bad.

Thanks

1/4" drive cratsaman w/ regular 10 mm underneath worked for me, didn't lose the nut either...
