It's not. It's from a third party. Looks like you've already bid, though.

If it isn't too late, you could always just retract your bid and purchase an OEM ks.

cant retract a bid unless you have a legitimate reason. I'm pretty sure "woops i bid on the wrong thing" isn't covered.. worth a shot though

I just installed one of these. So far so good. Next time I get a problem I am bypassing the deamn thing with a (470k ?) resistor. I will rather risk knocking than retarding..

haha truculent. I'm replacing my knock sensor - not because its coming up with a code, but because my car pings on hot days over 98 degrees and it doesnt seem to do anything about it. Sounds like your ideal knock sensor??

My question wasnt like that at all. I notice there are two types of knock sensors on ebay. OEM ones and replica ones. I was simply asking if the replica ones were ok.

no worries dude, im quite proficient with asking stupid questions. Comes with the n00b territory.

I'd be more keen to get an OEM - I won the auction and offered to pay the guy his ebay fees to get it relisted. I don't really want anything but the genuine article - it's a pet thing...

My stupid fault for bidding on it in the first place :P

More than that. You shouldn't replace it again.

my car had done 180,000km's (whatever that is in miles) - it's a fairly long life without its KS being replaced
