trying to understand VG EGR variations
http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...96&postcount=7
looking at the EGR setups on these two engines, can you guys tell me what years, trims, and emission divisions have BPT or temp sensor?
I am thinking of using the solenoid/sensor setup on mine and taking the BPT out (my engine has all the necessary components, just hooked up diffferently)
i'm looking for VG people to say whether or not they have a BPT, their model year, and the third 'x' on their HLJ30xxEx number under the hood on the metal plate
thanks guys i've been wondering about these BPTs for a while.

now, do you know if it was supposed to be exclusvely on cali spec cars? any one of our cars could have had a motor swap in the years before we got them... and it's possibly mine had a california engine and ECM put in but my CEL does not ever indicate EGR issues.
my VIN plate says Model: HLJ30DAEU (VG, lh drive, J30 chassis, GXE, automatic, electronic fuel injection, US spec.... in that order)\

can someone with a VG take a picture from under the iacv pointing at the vaccuum gallery like I did in the top picture. the third one, the one that turns outward.. is that the one that goes to a US Spec EGR valve, instead of thru a BPT on a Calispec?
if I put my car back to normal US spec i'll need to verify that that is in fact the proper vacuum port to use. FSM assumes Calispec.
in the second picture that same vacuum line is the one between the coolant line (larger hose) and iacv motor
