Stillen Body Kit Question?

for those of you that have it, would you please tell me how low your car drops with it. im want and have the moneyt o buy it, but i want to do some research because i go to school and work at a mall = a tremendous amount of speed bumps. My car is a daily driver. so if someone could post a pick of there stillen body kit that has not drop their car it would be greatly appreciated. Maybe just giving me an idea if the car could handle so many speed bums?

Thanks in advance

opinions?
advice?
thanks again

im lowered 3" upfront and i pass straight over all speed bumps with no scrapping. its decreases clearance by like 5" at maximum. if you are rocking any kind if lowering springs or stock suspension then you have nothing to worry about

entrance/exit into shopping centers is a different story. requires mild-aggressive angling depending on drop.
in my case, anytime i need to exit a shopping center, i must enter the street at an angle which always causes one of my wheels to hop off the curb, roughly 70-80 degrees. again i dont know your drop so hope that helps

Haha, dont just look at VIP's car and think the stillen kit will make it look just like that. Hes got the nicest max on the org for a reason, he did a ton of work. The rims, tints, lights, half rear window spoiler....all add to the look and thats why the stillen kit alone wont really do the VIP look.

o I know lol i didn't think my car would magically turn into that, besides i wouldn't want to copy his style either. i just wanted to see how the kit would actually look put on.

Stillen lip will only hang down 2" from the lowest point of the bumper.

^^^ This is true, the sideskirts arn't really much lower than the underside of the car so it just LOOKS like you are losing clearance. Rear is not a factor.

It's going to be hard to find a pic of a member with the Stillen Kit and not dropped it, but I've seen some over the years. I'd look through the Member's Ride section and/or Cardomain.

If you never drop your car, you should be just fine and will have nothing to worry about.

And even if you do drop it, you'll still be ok as long as you take the advice/comments stated above.

Just be glad to don't have a CF kit like some of us....it will make you think three times before entering/existing a dwy and/or parking.

Thank you for all the input guys, so you think if i put the kit on how low can I drop it before it becomes a problem.

btw do any of you remember the price after shipping? and where did you buy it at.

I'm pretty darn low and I've been ok so far. You'd be surprised how low you can drop it and be ok. Just remember to adjust your driving habits.

Check out the Group Deal section as there are Group Deals from time to time. Even Stillen does specials too, so check their website often. Or buy it used in the For Sale section and repaint it.

My front is a little less than a coke can from the ground....

Are you dropped at all? I highly recommend it as soon as you get the cash because it really does make the car look better.

Since you sound really worried about hitting speed bumps and parking blocks, I think you should go with a 2" drop.

Personally, I like body kits on maximas, but then again I also like lip kits. Its all personal preference and what works. But your maxima with the lip kit would look sharp lowered. Just drop it a bit, and drive it. See what happens, then lower it again and drive it and see what happens. Experiment!

Good luck!

the problem is the approaching angle with a lip. it will scrape on driveways and inclines of the like.

It's been summed up here. 4th gens have lots of clearance going over speedbumps. If you catch anything underneath it's most likely the heatshield. The problem as mentioned is the long nose. I find it easy getting up on inclines (ie: entrances) but getting out is a problem sometimes. A few times I've had to reverse out into traffic. Fairly small change for everyday driving overall but learn to back up into a stall regularly
