Tune up information please

I just bought a 1989 Maxima. I'd like to give it a tune up and wondering what type of spark plugs are best for this car. 3.0 6 cyl.

Thanks

Larry

First of all, welcome to the board. A lot of questions can be answered by hitting the search button at the top of the page.

Most people recommend and use the stock ones which are NGK's. They are available from www.courtesyparts.com or your local dealer. There are no major differences from getting other plugs.

I disagree, there IS a difference among plugs, and just about everyone on this board agrees. Stick w/ NGK. My local dealer said that they would prefer to sell only the standard and not the platinum tips. If I'm not mistaken, they are only required in the SE.

My message was poorly written. I truly apologize . It's best to stick with NGK, and you would not benefit getting other plugs. In fact, it is not good to get other plugs. There....
