235/55 17 on stock SE rims?

I know the stock tire size for 00-01 max is 225/50 17 but I was asking for a friend as he was curious to know if a 235/55 17 will fit on a stock SE 17x7 01 Max lowered on H.techs and Tokico blues? Tried searching but did not come across this specific size being used so far, so just thought I would ask!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with any input/opinions!!!!

Tires will fit, but look a lil more bubble-like on the sides. Also the sidewalls will be more flexy because of the height of the tire, and extra width of the tire combined.

Thanks Hector! I was imagining they may rub because of the overall height and width on that size tire!

H Techs are not low enough to rub. I had Altima 17s at one time time with 215/55/17 and they didn't rub. They looked a lil funny because the wheel gap was lessened. If any rubbing issue occurs it might be during turns.

Thanks Irish, I was imagining that too! Well, it would be for my cousin's Max and I was just curious. I had mentioned to him to just stick to the stock size for winter 225/50 17. That's what I have for winter tires and works good so far for me!
