Change the resistance so that the car thinks a bulb is blown out. That's the reason cars blink quicker normally, to let you know a bulb is out.

i just put in an LED. the low wattage makes the car think that there's a light out, thus blinkblinkblink!

your state laws may vary, but for the most part making the blinkers faster is not illegal, but if you strobe them, you may be in for some trouble.

Are you talking about signaling other drivers once you pass a traffic check or speedtrap? If so, then i'd say no it is not illegal. I do it all the time and consider it common courtesy. I have never known anyone to get busted for doing it.

I'm thinking that as long as you can tell your blinker is blinking, then it should not matter.

not illegal..

you get pulled over for it, tell him it means your blinker is going out.. you get pulled over again, tell him it means your blinker is going out... and if you get pulled over again, ask the officer if he has any spare bulbs you can use, cuz yours is on the way out.

Agreed, can't stand those fast blinkers. Makes the people look so impatient and patience is a virtue.

Wierd blink... not exactly quickblink

I've seen this Honda Civic (?). It's modified with white bulbs in the blinkers, and when we signals they flash irregularly. They will flash twice at regular rate, then flash 4 times very quickly, then twice at regular rate, etc. Has anyone else seen this? Is it a replacement of the stock flasher unit? I would be mildly interested in this, because I thought it looked pretty cool the few times I saw it.
