Pretty sure they are 6mm on the inside. When I got my new studs, I took them to the hardware store and matched sizes until I found the right nuts.

I think #3 Black & Decker is what I used, and the recommended bit size is on the package.

Here you go son, you wouldn't have to ask this question if you actually spent the $1.80 that they cost at the dealer. These wont get the old ones out but you'll get an idea of the size once you have em

You have a step dad?

Yes get 6 studs, 6 nuts, I dont remember if there's washers I'm almost positive there arent any there. And yes get the gasket as it would defeat the purpose to not get one.

I belive the size was 8 x 1.25 but I'm not positive, almost sure, I got my old studs under my desk in case you wanna find out by taking em to hardware store.

is there a very temporary fix to the manifold leak? i want to seal it for a short period of time to determine if there are any other leaks that noises might come from, such as the other manifold....

size is correct.

the yokes are basically superthick washers. They are necessary.

All they do, as far as I can tell, Is make your job faster. they space out the nut so you don't have to tighten it down as far, just enough to get all threads engaged (plus a couple mm extra). Otherwise you'd be tightening them all week.

problem is, my studs didn't come out... so i will have to try it again sometime when I don't live here anymore. maybe if I get a week off I'll run up to Rednecksville/MiddleOfNowhere TN and visit Greeny. Sorry guys but no way in hell I'm driving to chicago.

well i know there's a lot of 3rd genners up there. But if I need something done that is 3rd gen specific that I don't want a general mechanic messing with... and if that thing is out of my range as well, I'd either go to Greeny or Aaron. But Greeny has a VG as well so he knows more about them than Aaron does, most likely.

but no, I have, and never have had, plans of going to chicago
