You will need to make mounting rings to clear the window.

I just finished doing components up front in my 4th gen.
I had some scrap 5/8" mdf lying around so I just laminated two pieces together and made my rings 1-1/4" thick.

I believe a lot of people go with 3/4" rings.

Mine has thick plastic spacers mounted to the door in between the back of the speaker and the actual inner door skin; where did yours go? My Iridium's I just put in today were at least 5.5" deep, and they fit no problem...

You re-used the stock plastic spacer?

The whole thing is made out of 1/8" thick molded plastic. Kind of flimsy if you ask me. I hope it doesn't vibrate too much on you.

MDF picks up moisture like a sponge. I sealed them with 2 coats of black tremclad (brushed on) to prevent that.

I didn't know they were that thin; they didn't look like they were when I had the doors apart.

I have to do some more deadning anyway; when I take the panels off to do that I may make some spacers out of aluminum...

But right now I don't think they make any noise.

true true, will have to do that.

and to MadMaxSE-L said "he was goin to make them out of aluminuim" i would cuz ur trying to get away from the plastic on metal or metal on metal to reduce the rattles.

I don't think my SE came w/ BOSE, but I have plastic spacers between my mids. But I they seemed pretty thick to me, otherwise I wouldv'e taken them out...

Maybe I just didn't look at them close enough.
