Anyone with Konig Tantrums?

Anyone here using 17" Tantrums and which width do you have? They come in 7" and 8". Discount Tire has them for $160/ea. I need better tires and I'm thinking about going to 17's. These BFG's gotta go.

Re: Anyone with Konig Tantrums?

hey brian...just my opinion but if you plan to continue to show the car next year, avoid tantrums. jeff, dex, phil and i walked around carlisle and counted the countless amounts of cars that had tantrum or tantrum style wheels in the show. continue to be different like your gold BBS's

I would, but the strange thing is that the Tire Rack's site doesn't show any BBS's in 17" for a 3rd gen Max. They show loads of them for 4th gen's and I thought we had the same wheel size. I would get a set of silver BBS RX's if they fit. Still researching this. Konig has a new one called the "Rythm" that looks pretty nice too.

I looked at those too. Getting to be a little too common of a style though. The slightly different alternative to those are TSW Revos. Those are nice.

That's what I thought. I'm going to call the Tire Rack if this comes to fruition. Picking the car up tonight from an oil change and getting the tires balanced. Will see if that helps the vibration that I'm getting at highway speeds. If I decide to wait for a new one and just keep my '94, you're going to see the "new and improved" maxmizd27 sometime next year. I'm already compiling the next laundry list. There will be shopping involved!
