92-Year-Old-Lady MAXIMA ? (56k go away)

In July I bought a 1996 GLE from a nice middle-aged, middle-class family for $3650 - they were the second owners. It was Pearl White with intact leather, everything worked well. Needed four new tires but the rest was solid. It had 142,000 miles on it.

September 14th got into a hit-and-run with two illegal immigrants. My 96 was crushed. Took about a week, but I got $5100 to play with from the insurance company. I searched relentlessly all over southern Florida for 4th and 5th generation Maximas. I was about to give up and buy a Northern beater for $3100 with 110k when one night in early October an amazing deal came on Craigslist. I left work early the next day to buy it....

A 1997 GLE, Pearl White, beige leather interior, 4 new Sumitomo tires, being sold by the original owner - a 92 year old woman. A Florida car its whole life, everything seemed new....but the interior was covered in American flags, star stickers and AARP membership material. The leather was F*CKING DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY and all 4 corners had been scratched/gouged and then covered-up with White-Out. You could tell she never once got it washed/detailed........the odometer though.......41,769 miles. That's right, 4 thousand miles a year were driven on this thing. She had never even used the CD player (it skipped for the first week but hasnt since). The jack had never been used, the exhaust system doesnt have one spot of rust, the suspension drives like it got installed last week....Oh yea, and I paid $4500 for it - the Blue Book value for this car is $7,875 in "good" condition.

Ive been cleaning it an average of about 6 hours a weekend over the past month. I have done a lot, including changing all fluids/oil, detailing the interior, cleaning the engine bay, replacing the spark plugs - but it still needs attention; rotors are warped, KS needs to be replaced. I also have a 300zx TT fuel filter waiting in my room to be installed. I plan on tinting it either at 20% or 28% and getting some dark grey or gunmetal rims in the near future. Ive also been toying with the idea of a paintjob....

Its bone stock right now but just too sexy to not show off....

yea i know man. thats the reason aftermarket headlights are last on my list of potential mods.

she said she never drove at night or in the rain cuz of her eyesight. that means she basically never used the headlights.
