Shelf life of unopened brake fluid?

I have a can that is 12-15 months old and is not opened, it still ok to use or just better to buy new?

It should be fine. What you don't want is any moisture or condensation in the fluid. So long as it is properly sealed, then moisture should not be able to get in the can.
