I need the idle air control valve for a 2000 maxima. It is located on the buttom of the throttle body. Need it to be in good working order.

 

b4 you dump money into the IACV.... check your MAF.

I had the same code thrown on my '00 SE - p505 IACV. Ended up being just a bad MAF.

Symptom: when engine warm, engine would die. stop light etc.

my symptoms: P0505 code along with another code (idle system malfunction), its fine when engine cold, when it worms up, rpm's fluctuate from 1200 rpm-2200 rpm. I checked the valve manually and it is siezed. Cut it in half to manual turn it, reinstalled it, now the engine holds steady 750 rpm when warm, but no idle when cold, have to constantly tap on the gas before it reaches operating temp.
