Pics of the new max 56k beware.

Well not new I have had it for about two weeks. Its a 1992 gxe 187000 miles.

All it needs is a front bumper, hood and a good cleaning and wax.

It should not be to long. I only paid $500 for it and got it from a .org member. I could always drive my jag in the snow while the max is being fixed but thats not happing.

Puce is IMO not a color to be associated with the interior of any vehicle ................ lest its a passion wagon in daily use I guess

It's worse w/o the leather. That burgundy really fades to a nasty brown.

wow, that interior makes me think of a buick. ;x

good find, and good luck.

i almost had a VE-auto recently for 350, pearl white, no body damage PERIOD......only problem...our typical factory security system issue. The guy selling it had no idea, and i wasn't telling him. he is one of my superiors in my unit, so i didn't feel guilty. BUT after he sold it out from under me, i told him what was wrong with it, and he was angry ;X

BTW, nice shades on the dash...

The shades were in the car when I got it. I leave them up there to remind me to ship all the stuff the old owner left in the car back to her.

My friend painted his Stanza's blue interior with black vinyl spraypaint which is meant for plastic/vinyl and it looked like a brand new stock black interior.

By interior I mean all trim/dash pieces, no carper, uphostery, or leather.

What A Deal !

Here in the Los Angeles area, 3rd generation cars go for a lot more. For example, my 90 SE one owner car w/ 78K cost me and my parents 2,800. Six month later my dad got his 89 one owner GXE w 98K for 2,200. Of late the prices on Craig's List have generally gone down, but I haven't seen anything halfway decent for under 1,000; 93s and 94s still usually sell for more than 2,000 here in L.A.

About the interior paint. Someone who owns a 4Runner used that paint. He changed the colors to black and a graphite color. It looked bad *** and factory. If I can find links I will post just to get an idea of what options you have if you don't like the colors.

Here is before:

that stuff works wonders on carpet too. Bought an Xterra from the auction to sell. It had stained carpet even after a shampoo. I sprayed the carpet and it looked like new. I drove it for a few months and even after vacuuming it didn't show signs of wearing off.

Hey Ben, I know you tried vacuuming that painted carpet but did you try shampooing to see if it came right off?

No ididn't need to shampoo it since it looked clean after the painting. The stuff sems very durable> I checked my boots after getting in and out when it was wet from raining and it didn't seems to smear off or anything. I guess if it did, you could always just touch it up.
