how much are u willing to pay for the hood

Problem is you are in LA. I am looking to spend 300 or so.

 

For $300, you can buy a brand new hood that comes primed and just have a shop spray it. It should come out to less than $300. New hood = $150, Paint + Labor = $100.

 

I went to a local body shop and was quote $600 for an aftermarket replacement hood and paint. He said he would have to paint the fenders to blend in the hood.

 

That shop is trying to make some extra $$$. When I got my hood and front bumper painted, they didn't need to paint my fenders to blend it. It would also be cheaper if you buy the hood from a parts store and install it yourself. Then just take it in and say you need it painted.
