How should i make my Valve covers look?

I just took off my front valve cover to change the gaskets and rings and i decided to hit em with the grinder to take off those dumb tabs on the top of mine. Now im in a delimma, what color should i paint them? I would polish them up but i have a paper to do tonight and have to drive the car in the morning

IMHO, painting it wouldn't look too great. Black might be OK, but would the paint actually stick well?

I say polish or nothing. Maybe just try to clean it up without spending an hour polishing it.

Why do people insist on asking others what to do with thier car? Think for yourself. A modified is an expression of the person who built it.

No, the point is that not everyone is going to be happy with the results. You can't please everybody. Besides, the worst is when people ask for opinions, get suggestions, original poster gets offended, and then does the dumb mod....just to change it a month later.
