Heater taking to long to throw heat

My car have always taken too long to get heat and also the seat heaters suck too. My wifes Subaru seat get very toasty in about a minute. I have less than a ten minute drive to work and I bearly get heat and my seat warm by the time I'm there. My 90 Chevy PU on the other hand will freeze you in the summer with the A/C and melt you in the winter. You can count on a GM for heat and cooling. Nissan chintzes out on the heat and cooling. My temp gauge shows normal engine temps too.
