Where can I get Red/Clear tails for my 96??

 

best bet is eBay or 4th gen classifieds

 

ebay ones are crap and good luck finding decent ones (david L's) and if you do its gonna be a hefty price.

buy a 97-99 trunk and then get some 97-99 red clears.
thats your best bet

David L's are the best bet. There's a pair in the classified for $225 and they're worth EVERY penny.

APC made all clear taillights a long time ago and have since stopped making them because the DOT deemed them unsafe. David L opened them up and painted the bottom of them red and thus the David L's were born ... They are perfect

You could do a 97-99 rear conversion but that'll cost you too ...

i like these lights. i was kind of out of the loop when they came out, but i saw them on ebay and figured everybody would have them. then i found out most orgers hate them but i don't understand why. i will be getting a 95 soon and you can expects to see these on it.

 

IMO it's diamondcut and its hideous. really, it doesnt go with the car at all, even with the 97+ front end conversion. looks cheap and cheesy if you ask me. DavidL's FTW.

I am not a fan of the ebay diamond red/clears for you 95/96 guys. Either buy Mr****s95SE's for $225, or spend another $100 and do a 97/99 rear end conversion. Just my 0.02.

lol, yeah for the maxima, it just doesnt go. although it is one of the better old-body style cars, i think its like clashing new with old. On the Aristo (GS), i can see those Junction tailights on that car no problem. The car is more up-to-date if you know what i mean.

 

I totaled my Maxima about a month ago, those tails are up for grabs if anyone wants them.

I wish i had , had those for my 95...would have made my max feel just that much more complete.....everytime i looked on ebay couldn't find any that looked like david L's......how much did u pay for those off ebay?

 

makes me wish i never sold mine. i prrefer the 95/96 rear more then the 97/99 rear even though there is a cf trunk for the 97/99 max

I feel special . Look on craigslist randomly. I found mine for 80$ because he changed it to 97 rear. I don't know how he bought them and didn't know he could sell em on the org for more.

yes,Ebay.
My friend bought it 5 or 6 years ago for his 97. It didnt fit and leave me these tails for 40$.
I think he paid 80$ for the pair, shipping included. Same plastic and same design as the oem.

 

how did these david L's come about? whats the story on them, they look very good.
