FS: REAL winter beater: 1995 Jeep Cherokee $1000!

1995 Jeep Cherokee SE 5MT 4.0L 4x4 4-door for sale. I just bought this and had to do a little work to get it running. Now my wife wants me to sell it and get a newer Jeep as a daily driver, as opposed to having this for winter use and my Sentra as a daily commuter.

Exterior/Body is a 9/10. Interior is a 5.5/10.

The Good: Runs great, new (2 weeks old) battery, good tires (though they are small). Good engine/transmission combo. Has A/C, which seems to work (sorry, it has not been hot enough to REALLY test it). Has roof rack, center console. Bumpers and body are straight.

The bad: It has minor floor rust on the passenger side and the rear hatch won't open from the outside. The passenger seat cover is in lousy shape. Headliner has some sag. Passenger side mirror has crack in glass.

$1000. Needs to go soon. I want this cash as a down payment.

I'd keep it and run it myself, but my wife is really opposed to the idea of paying insurance on 3 vehicles. She'd rather see me put that $$$ into a better vehicle for daily use.

I have a ZJ. They are great trucks and great fun to drive. Better than XJ's in every way IMO and I've driven XJ's extensively. Good luck with finding one, see you at the jeep forum!

I've been over there for years- I was a Jeep guy before I bought a few Maximas. I just bought an 04 WJ Overland. I pick it up Tuesday.
