Help! Odd noise when starting up car!

When I started up my 92SE this morning, the rpm were significantly erratic, and instead of settling at about 7500 rpm, varied at 1000 and 1250 rpm. I did clean out the throttle body a couple of days ago, so I figured that would have some relevance, but then the engine starting making a crackling noise, and I immediately shut off the engine. I had to get to work, so I have not been able to check out the car, but does anyone know what that crackling could be from? Is it possible that I knocked an air flow sensor out place?

worse news

Ok i tried to start the car after work, and it definitely ignites and turns over, but the rpm move up to aobut 500, then fall down, and the car stalls....i tried to press down on the gas when i started the car, and the rpm increased greatly, but still the car stalled when i stopped pressing down and stopped trying to ignite the engine...also my friend says some smoke came out of the exhaust, doesn't sound good, any clues?

What did you clean your throttle body with? I don't have a VE engined Max (I have a 90 SE and a 97 SE), but there's probably a throttle position sensor and the harness might not be on tight/plugged in.

Is this the first time that you've run the car after cleaning out the throttle body? If so, it could be just some of the TB cleaner burning out through the system.
