Driver's front seat motor dead....
How hard is it to swap the motor part from a used seat to one that does not work? My black leather seat took a dump on me, but I still got the tan cloth that works perfect, from an interior swap. I really don't want to do a swap of the cloth to the leather as I think it might be easier to just do the motor... Any suggestions.

Okay, so I decided to work on the seat today in the basement. It was pretty much straight forward. four bolts that hold the pan in place, four bolts that hold the back in place. In total took probably about 2 hours. 1 hour and a half trying to figure how to remove the back, but once I figured out I needed to remove the back cover and remove two hog rings, it was easy. Now I've got a fully functional drivers seat.
Sweet deal. The seat mounts in my car broke and I left it for a while, I always thought the motor might die sometime too and then I could just replace it lol. Never happened, and the car ended up sold
