Mysterious Clickin Sound

Hi Everyone! Happy Holidays to all my Org friends!

I get a clicking sound when I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left ...and sometimes all the way to the right...near the end of the turn. Consists of 3 to 4 clicks...

My Stealership garage took the car up on the alignment lift and believe it has to do with the spring (Eibach Pro Kit 1) rubbing on the bottom plate due to the contraction of the spring in winter conditions.

I'm not so sure...anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for the help.

well i have progress springs and i was having a bit of noise problems too buh my friend at the dealship garage said to try two things.

1. lube springs and everything (rubber, hat, mounts, ect.) and see if that helps.

2. check to see if any dirt or grim has gotten into the strut mount itself (at the top) if so take apart the strut from the spring and clean. and MAKE very sure that the RUBBER mount peice between the metal mount itself and the strut peice is aligned perfectly and that your not forcing it in.

me and my boy did the lubbing and all is well so far. no more creeking sound when turning the wheel. at slow or fast speeds. don't know if it would help.

The top mounts were totally replaced on warranty as the struts were noisy. Thanks!

the clicking noise happened to me with the pro kit, all i did is check the 2 springs and made sure the plastic hose piping that went over the springs were all the way up, they somehow had fallen to the lower part of the spring, problem solved.

too_Da_MAX, I will try your suggestion too. Apparently there is no more vinyl protection on either of the springs....strange, I guess that they just break off with time. I have ordered new ones that Eibach has available for the Pro Kit 1 ....free as part of their "Life Time" warranty....this new one is a wrap around kit that seems to be a better option.

I am due in the Garage on Monday...will keep you guys posted....

Thanks again!
