97+ SE factory springs different than 95-96 SE?

I have a 95 Max SE. Front struts are blown so I will be replacing them soon. Probably get some KYB GR2s. Are 97+ SE factory springs any different than the ones on my car?

4th gen OE spring info.

The 5 speed front springs are different then auto tranny front springs.
The SE rear springs are firmer and a few mm lower then GXE, GLE's.

If you put the 5 speed front springs on an auto it will make the front and rear fender gaps equal. I think the 5 speed front springs might be slightly more sporty as well. They are slightly shorter (decompressed) and have one less winding then auto front springs.

I am using stock 5 speed front springs on my auto and absolutely love the way my car rides.

Interesting.....My car is a SE 5-speed so I already have the better springs in this case. How come Nissan did it that way you think?

Because a 5-speed tranny weighs less than an auto tranny, so they likely did it to make the ride height up front the same for 5-speeds and autos, accounting for the difference in weight by having different springs.

stupid question maybe some one has the answer ....the spring rates lbs/in...the higher the number the more firm/rough...the lower the softer etc...i was looking at
some Tokico:1.25F/1.25R 205F/293R lb/in.
or htech Front: 180 lbs/in Rear: 250 lbs/in...just want a moderate drop but comfy

maximas and nissans in general have huge wheels gaps stock... but 1.25-1.5 is prolly more than enough drop for stock daily driving with some stiffer springs.
