I think there have been plenty of threads asking if a tire will rub in the past week. Out of boredom I will shed some light on the subject. 19x8.5 should fit fine, but you may need something with an offset of lower than 40. I have heard some guys running 9.5" rims on back. For the tire at 8.5 I would go with something like 255/40/19. 245 might be a lil small for the rim, and getting 45 in height might rub alil when turning.

It's only been 31 minutes, and you're bumping your thread? It was still in the top ten threads in this forum.

IMO, you would have had better luck posting in the Tires and Wheels Forum. Hopefully a mod will move it for you.

I was considering a drop, therefore answered accordingly.

I have 17x9s with 255's no rubbing I could go 265 really but I would only have about 3mm of clearance, and that just doesn't seem like a good idea

well it would be easier to answer your question with the following:

what offset will the rims be?
are you dropped?
if so, how much of a drop?

Also, what's the purpose? Going too big and wide with your wheel/tire combination can hurt both performance and comfort, and past a certain point, even the appearance of the car. Bigger != better, universally...

48mm... get like 15-20mm spacers, then you'll be good to run up to 255s or so.

You'll be fine, no rubbing. And that bolt pattern should be 114.3.
