I took a 2 hour ride out to a out of state dealership today who clamed to have a Silver V6 Altima 5spd on the lot. The sales men said he would take $1000 off MSRP so I figured I would go check it out. Once I fianlly get there the slaesmen I talked to was gone! Instead I got some 70 old guy with no personality what so ever and to top it off the car they claimed to have was not there, what a freakin suprise! SOB! Instead they had a nasty looking tunbgstein green one. So I took it out for a test drive and had them look over my 98 I30 to see what they would give me for a trade in. The tried to offer me $10 grand! This is a insult to me, the car is clearly worth atleast $13,500, infact it's trade in value is about 14 grand. This really ****ed me off so I just walked out. The nerve on some people these days! Once I said I was leaving they tried saying they would try to give me what I want, but at that point I was just disgusted by there low ball offer and lies. The moral of the story, never go to quirk nissan in MA! The are scum bags.

BTW the Altima sucks, the thing looks great from about 30 ft away but the closer you get the worse it looks, once you get inside it's all over. it looks like a rental car! Back to getting a 6spd maxima this weekend I guess .

i'll be picking mine up nov 3rd. i'm just gonna finance the whole thing and then worry about selling my car in the next couple months. i'm so excited and i just can't hide it. i know, i know i'm gonna lose control and i think i like it.

I did that a dealer when the promised me my car by a certain time....i had an exam i needed to get to. The lot had that blacktop sleant on there.......man...the vg torque tore that up! Once that car gets going......whoosh....right up to 4k and spun she did....i could see black marks in the rear. i didn't even N drop it.....just brake torqued and floored it

Becuase no one has bought it yet so now I am trying to sell it for a crack head price.

I just went on to NADA{Dealer pricing} and my I30 with it's options and miles is lested at : Total Average Trade-In: $16,525 . Chi Chi tried to rip me off for over 6 grand! BTW I think $16,525 is a bit to much but for crying out loud $14K is reasonable! Tomarrow I am going to my local dealer hopefully they are reasonable!

I bought my max at Quirk Nissan also and know exactly what you're talking about. The sale man/kid actually was ok just his manager sux big time.

The service department also tried ripping me off on things I didn't need to do while not fixing the problem I brought my car there for.

The only good thing at that place is the parts department, the guy there was honest about me not needing to replace the water pump even though my car has high mileage.

 

Damn man, I knew this is the worst dealership in MA. In 1999 they wanted $15K for a 95 Max with more than 80K which DID NOT EVEN START. The guy had to jump start the car. I said I would give them $10K, they laughed so I walked away

Before I got the Max I was gung ho for a 2002 CL-S. In Sept, I went to see what kind of deal I could get for a 2001. Went to the dealership and my friend was coming out with keys to his new CL-S. On the lot was a Black/Tan CL-S with Navi...just what I wanted. Here is where it went wrong:

1)Friend told me to get the hood switched because they just put his on my car due to scratches. I saw the scratches on the hood, lifted it and the idiots didn't even hook one of the gas shocks.

2)The saleskid gave me his best price on the car...ready? 30,500 (another dealer offered 28,500 back in April but squat for my trade). I literally laughed long and out loud in his face.

3)Manager walked over and said that he could not go any lower on that car. I said, "You have a major scratch on the hood, bumper is scratched in two places, trunk lid is discoloring in one area, and the driver seat is ripped." He said, "We can get all those parts off of cars on the lot." I said, "Once you rebuild it, give me a call."


I walked.

 

The Altima interior was so bad I didn't even bother to test drive it. So close, yet so far.

 

WTF is up with Nissan dealerships...
they claim your Nissan will hold it's value well when you're looking at buying one...
but as soon as you try to trade it in they offer you shiet!

Nissan dealership offered me $12,500 for my 2000 Maxima w/ 21k mi.
BMW dealership right across the street offered me $14,900.

I agree 100%. I didn't test-drive it but sat in it, looked and played around controls, *****... I'd say it's a dispointment to a point I'll not buy no matter how good everything else is.

 

ya my mom wanted an altima so bad because it was cute and when she saw the inside she was no longer interested at all. crap. it's a 17K car with options that make it a 28K car. a maxima is a 25K car with options that brring it to 28K
