you may want to double check the part numbers you have. I know on both of my fourth gens the front two oxygen sensors have the same part number. Unless one of the sensors is cali spec?

you should still buy it even if you arent gonna do it yourself cuz a mechanic is gonna charge you extra for having to get it himself. its better to show up with the part and offer to pay him JUST LABOR to install it.

but what about those jackasses who refuses to use the parts you purchase and take to them. thats what im afriad of. yes i know peop,le are gonna say "then just sell the extra one" but if i can prevent that from happeneing, i will try.

well i think 02 sensors are common enough that a lot of mechanics know how to do it. if you come across some **** who doesnt want to use outside parts (ive actualy never had this problem - theres no reason to not want to use prebought parts unless they offer a warranty on their work) then just take it to another mechanic.

i would still rather take that chance than to pay the 40% markup on a mechanic getting it through his connection.

ok,i agree with you guys.Another thing is....after calling autozone to find out how much the part was, they asked me if it was calispec(whichi had no clue what that meant) they asked another question, didnt have a clue either, so they said i should know those sutff first and get back to them. Would you guys shed some light as to what the hel they are talking about and also use autozone website to help me in knowing the exact part that i need. My car is a 99 maxima Se and the sensor that the diagnostic said was needed is bank 2 sensor 2. Thanx guys.
