I dont know what the heck it is but between shifts my car sound like chewbacca. There are times when the engine is completely warmed up that I can actually smell some exhaust gases. I come to the conclusion of getting the cattman full exhaust kit with the headers, just to counter act the problem but I dont want to make a huge purchase and the problem is not fixed. Any Ideas?

could be your heat shield rattling. Did you ever put any ATF replacement in? It could be making that from the clutch. Make sure your fluids are topped as well.

yeah a wookie noise isn't much info to diagnose. scared to get it check out by mechanic/ dealer? or your just hoping for quick fix

 

TERRIBLE description of the sound...how are we supposed to help you dont even describe it. but you want our opinion on replacing the catback when we dont even know what the problem is, if there even is one

 

how long are you off the throttle? it will sound like that once the comp leans out and youre off the gas, but not loud if stock exhaust and never happens to me under normal speed shifting
