Re: Lots of gas in oil....help..
I'm not sure what would cause it. I had something similiar happen with my 87 wagon. When I had it up on jackstands to replace my C/V shafts, the injectors seemed to have leaked. When I dropped the car back down, and started it, it started blowing blueish-black smoke (which it hadn't done before), and ran a lil' rough. When I checked the oil, it was super dark black, very thin, and reeked of gas. What I did was buy a decent motor oil flush, and flushed the engine, then changed the oil about 3 times in a month - each time with a brand name, W30 detergent oil. Since then, I haven't seen the problem recurr, but the flush seems to have done some damage to my pan gasket, cuz now the pan leaks a little. I need to get up under it again, and see if maybe I can just tighten the bolts a little. If not, another Saturday spen under the car, replacing the pan gasket (better than the $200+ to have a shop do it). Of course, I've also recently come to the conclusion that my fuel pressure reg is going bad. This could also have had something to do with it, by simply allowing way too much fuel down the rails to the injectors.
BTW, this is on a 87 wagon, pushing 225k miles, and has never had any major work done to it.
