Opinions and Testimonials on Nitto Tires

Time to upgrade to stickier rubber.

i've been doing some research and nitto seems to offer the best bang for your buck.(Between $450-$550 range for the set(4)) wanted to know if anyone here has had good or bad experiences with nitto brand tires. Tire size is 245/40/18.

I'm looking at two models:

-Nitto NT Neo Gen

and

-Nitto NT 555

Any info and opinions would be very appreciated.
If you'd like to talk about a different tire all together please go ahead. All info is welcome.

Word.

why are you trying to run a 40 series tire? shouldnt you be goin with a 45?

As for the NT555. It was one of my options and reviews on it seem decent. the neo gen seems like a good one too.

I liked my Nitto 555's but I didnt get to enjoy them as much because I was running the hell out of them on the drag strip.
I would, and want to, definately buy them again.

From: Auburn WA,
The Nitto 555 has hard rubber. They are very puncture resistant and take potholes better than most tires without bubbling the sidewalls. For traction and rain I hated them. I literally changed lanes on the freeway while hydroplaning and trying to go straight.

As for the Neogen, The traction is great but the tire isn't as durable. The rubber is softer and the sidewalls arn't as strong.

All around I like nitto tires for the price. I will be getting a set of neogens for my next set.
