Radio turns on and off and its own....
Radio turns off and on, by itself...
I noticed this after racing last night at the strip.
After the radio has been on for a short time its starts to switch off then on, by itself, then finally it just stays off. This is not the Bose, but the standard system.
I have a feeling its a short.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so where was the short?

Well if you have the base system, I'd tell you to just tear it out and throw it away and buy an aftermarket. I remember you as having bought the SE which probably has the Bose setup. Shadow had this problem w/ his car for a while but that was w/ an aftermarket stereo. Either way the wires could have shorted somewhere and the only way to test it is to take apart the dash and start checking wires in the back. If you're lucky it'll be the stereo itself since that's a lot easier to fix than the huge wiring bundle in the Max's dash. You can also try checking the individual power and turn on(ACC) wires by seeing if you can get it to go back on with the stereo plugged in and be very careful w/ the wiring plugs. You might be able to find somebody like Ming or another ATL guy w/ an aftermarket stereo since they might have the stock one around. If you have the base setup, my brother still has that sitting around I think. Just PM them to see if you can borrow their units to test out your system to see if its the wiring or the unit itself.
