Washers with FSTB help

Ok so with the 3.5 swap in i cant use the FSTB becuase it hits the cable for the TB. (i can take pics tomorrow) Now im also getting arrons spacers so the motor intake manifold will sit even higher. Im wondering if i use some washers to kind of lift up the FSTB if that will have any negative effects. Otherwise im just going to sell it.

Just try different sizes. You want to be able to thread the entire bolt though so there is only maybe 5mm or less to be gained. Considering the impact that those mounting points go through it may not be an option for you.

also how much space is there between the top of the strut bar and the underside of the hood? this would limit the amount you could lift it, but being able to get the nut fully on the strut mount is a bigger concern.

im not too worried about hood clearance. But thats a picture of the part thats keeping it from installing the fstb. Without that there would be plenty of space there.

probally im not too sure. I am also not too sure if i could just use the other hole that the bracket has. But i just dont know the effects of doing that since its connected to the tb.

try moving it to the other hole and see if you can readjust the throttle cable to pull the slack out of it. look slike there's plenty of adjustment room there.

should be fairly simple fix.

You can cut the bracket, sure. As long as you dont leave a tiny **** piece holding it in. Make sure it still has some structural integrity. Its not like an insane ammount of force is being put on it.
