windows dont roll up or down?

ok so i blew my 120a fuse the other day. replaced it. everything works again except the windows. the locks work from the main window switch but the windows dont. the motors are fine because i checked it with a seperate battery. also if it helps....when the door is open and the car is off but the key turned all the way it keeps beeping? it should beep only 5 times and then stop. the light on the drivers door also wont turn on but the bulb might be blown. last, when i lock/unlock, the lights dont flash anymore. only the fronts when i lock

any ideas on this one?

BCM controls most of those functions, have you checked all other fuses?

I checked, and it is NOT a 120 amp fuse that is supposed to go there. I put one in my max to test what would happen instead of a 140 amp and the windows, power locks and wipers wouldn't work. Just thought I would let you know.

for all i know, the 120a fuse was over spec'd to 140a... who knows. point is, if you look on that top box where it tells you what fuses are and what the amp value is, you will see that it is a 140a.

i will most likely go to napa and get teh 140a fuse but....

i checked the fuses and they are all good. i have an idea that it is the main wiring harness from fuse box to door?

also i found that the windows roll down when i hold the unlock button still. problem is ....they dont go up. is therer way to get the remote to roll them back up with a certain mod?

any thoughts on these ideas??

trust me.... before you get into wiring that stuff, put the 140a in there.

lol... nope... you can't roll them back up unless you run 12v current through the window regulator directly.

Wow, this one is TOO funny. lol I just got owned by mine for the last 72 hours! HAHAHA!!! I was pulling the temp gauge in my dash and my little helper (daughter) was in the car watching and handing me tools. I also pulled out old wire harnesses no longer in use that were put in by previous owners. When all was said and done all my passenger windows didnt work and were stuck open except for my driver side operated just fine. I spent the last 72 hours re looking wires that I messed with, fuses and everything I had messed with. I even put the dang temp gauge back in thinking maybe i needed to complete some circuit. I had been driving the wifes truck around and leaving the max in the garage due to rain.

I searched this forum and came across your post, ran out to my car and hit the button...BAM!!! all my windows worked. lol Oh I felt a idiot and my wife laughed her head off at me. LOL!!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger! I had the remote trunk release in one of may cars suddenly stop working. After many hours of troubleshooting, checking, chasing electrical circuits, swearing, etc - I found that I had accidently hit the "valet" override button in the glove box that disables the trunk release.
