What carrier do you have? I have a BB 8703e from Verizon that was originally bought off Ebay and had some water damage (red square under the battery instead of a white one). But it power on and is able to be activated just fine.

i have a 8700G, powers up and everything but doesn't charge. probably of no help. i just picked up a new one off ebay for 85$.

 

does it not charge becuase of the battery or is it an issue with the phone itself
