So I am in the same boat as pimpin02max. I sent Anthony a Payment on January 15th for a Kinetix Intake Manifold, Lower Intake Manifold and Thermal Gaskets.

He kept on saying that he would get them sent out and each time there was always an excuse as to why it has not been sent. Or there was an error in the shipping, wrong address so on and so on.

I have been VERY VERY patient giving him the benefit of the doubt. But its now to the point where I have been going back and fourth with him with no results. He says he will send a refund but this has been 3 weeks ago since he said that. He has even gone as far as to provide a NON working MTCN (Western Union) and said there must have been an error and he would email me the actual receipt. This is where we currently stand as he will not return any calls or texts.

Anthony if you are reading this will you please just get ahold of me and settle this up.

All I want is my money back, is that so much to ask?

I would rather not make this more difficult then it has to be, but am now to the point where it looks like I have no other choice.

I would give that officer a call since he already knows the history of this guy, hopefully it will help resolve the issue quicker with this scammer.

I'll talk to my dad and see if I can't get it for him....but what I did was contact my local police and then they called his local police and also called and left him a message then Anthony got nervous and started calling me and then finally gave me my money back. I will check when I get home tonight on the officer and everything.

You received a refund as promised (which had NOTHING to do with police) Got nervous at what? The fact that you looked my zip code up and contacted a precinct I don't even work out of? NYC Laws dictate that an officer CANNOT live in the same precinct he works in, therefore contating the 68 didn't do anything for you...

NOW, JP and I conversed this morning and all is good, I promised him no later than tomorrow he will have his refund also. He agreed and I called him as soon as I saw the post. The others here can judge me all they want, but out of 100 transactions I had three problems and ALL of them were due to shipping and other BS that happened. Two got their refunds already and the third and final will be closed out tomorrow. I run from no one. I promise that I will refund your money too JP and I apologize once again for members wasting their time reading this now.

 

all I was doing was saying that your basically did the same thing to me that you are doing to speedcrazie. And also I think contacting your local police would do something considering it is their job to pursue stuff in their precinct but w/e I know that I got my money back but he has been asking me for advice so I gave it to him. This is why my threads about SleeperI35 shouldn't have been deleted. I understand they were in the Weekend Battles section which no longer exists, but they should have been moved.

In that I clearly said I was bashing him for ripping people off, and didn't want it to happen to anyone else again. Look what happened. Mr. Money is stealing from honest .org members once again. Your initial post in this thread was on-topic, and was relevent, but it could also have been accomplished via PM. I am not saying that I would have done it one way or another, but please understand that Anthony did refund your money, regardless of reason. The typical (and appropriate) response would be to state that you had a similr issue and that it was resolved. If SpeedCrazie wanted to know more, he could ask.

While I realize that being 17 you could not initiate any police action without your parent or guardian consenting, you also need to understand that coming in here and throwing the police involvement on the table right away did not help SpeedCrazie resolve his issue.

I have done significant research on this, and while your situation clearly sucks, Anthony has a spotless reputation on nycmaximas. Does that make up for your experience? No. But it does lead me to believe that he isn't a bad person who set out to screw you over.

Had you not made some false promises in the early going, much of this could have been avoided, but you made good on the first transaction and I am monitoring this one. Your fellow NYCmaxima members (except the guy who came in here talking like he had a 4th grade education and a 10-page rap sheet) have me convinced that this was a complete anomoly and is not your typical MO.

I would recommend that any future sales (if you plan to have them) be brokered by someone who will hold the goods while the money is in transit, or at least be via PayPal, where the buyer can use a chargeback to protect them and you can use a confirmed shipping address and tracking info to keep the deal on the up-and-up.

 

Please do NOT keep piling on. It is not helping. The points were valid, but unnecessary.

 

I spoke with Anthony and he was not able to make it to a Western Union before they closed yesterday. He asked if it would be ok to send today, and I said that would be fine.

I just got a text about an hour ago saying he was sending it so I should have a MTCN here shortly.

 

Spoke to Anthony again and the first of two payments has Been recieved the other will be picked up tommorrow. He is also including an extra 50.00 in the second payment. He also mentioned that he will be sending me a ported lower intake manifold for all the trouble. So far so good.

On Friday, Feb. 29th I tried to pick up my remaining refund of $425.00 + the $50.00 that Anthony said he would include for all my trouble. But Western Union could not validate the second MTCN that Anthony provided.

I thought that maybe some numbers got mixed up so they tried to look it up by his name but could not come up with anything. I contacted Anthony and he assured me that he would get ahold of me the next day (Sat. March 1st) to straighten out everything. I did not hear from him and have called and texted him many times since then with NO response.

This is going on WAY to long and I would really like to get this all finished up. Anthony, Please call me so we can get this resolved once and for all.

Anthony still will not return my calls or text messages. I just want my money back thats it.

 

Heard from Anthony briefly on March 7, 2008. He explained why I have not heard from him. Said he would have everything taken care of within the hour after talking with him but I have not heard from him since. He will still will not respond to my calls or text messages.

 

Another Update, Anthony still has NOT refunded my money nor has he made an effort to return any calls or text messages.
