Gas tank affecting ride height???

I'm on Nex coilovers...

When I have gas in the tank my car sits like a boat. When it's empty it has a decent rake. The rear springs are supposed to be 300# springs. I'm gonna lower the front but what gives? Anyone else have this problem?

300# at the spring doesn't necessarily mean 300#/in at the wheel.
given the angle of the rear shocks, I'd guess your actual wheel rate is around 200#/in. cover both axles and the rear has a rate of approx 400#/in. a 15 gal tank of gas weighs about 115lb, so it should only drop about 1/4" between full and empty.

I wouldn't lower the front to make it fit. I'd raise the rear a touch. the front has enough suspension travel and geometry problems as is.

I've been meaning to lower the front anyways, just more of a reason to now. Geometry and all that stuff doesn't mean much to me as I drive the car maybe 2 times a week

you just said the magic words to move this out of "advanced susension," since clearly you're more interested in looks than performance. Moving to general discussion, since I don't know what year your max is.

good thing our rears aren't very adjustable, or else you'd have a heck of a time deciding to 4-wheel align with a full vs empty tank of gas.

Perhaps a height adjustable rear suspension is needed, like bags?

Could it be the shocks on your car are bad?
